Accessibility Policy

Committed to Inclusive Access

Effective Date: 6th September 2024

At web-site.design, we strive to make our website accessible to all users, regardless of their physical abilities or technology access.

Commitment to Accessibility

Our site is built using Elementor Pro and follows accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1 AA. We provide:

  • Keyboard navigation support
  • Alt text for all images
  • Responsive design for various screen readers

While we already adhere to WCAG 2.1 AA standards, we recognise the need to constantly evolve and accommodate a wider range of users, including those with disabilities or users accessing our site via different devices.

Here are some additional support features we plan to implement in the future:

1. Voice Navigation and Screen Reader Enhancements
To improve accessibility for visually impaired users, we aim to further optimise our website for screen readers. We plan to ensure that all interactive elements—such as buttons, menus, and forms—are fully compatible with voice navigation tools. Additionally, we will work on enhancing the structure of our content so that screen readers can interpret it in a logical, user-friendly way. This will include refining alt-text for all media, ensuring ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) labels are used effectively, and making dynamic content accessible.

2. Colour Contrast and Customisation Options
Though we currently maintain good contrast ratios, we plan to introduce customisation options that allow users to adjust the contrast, brightness, and font size to suit their needs. Users with colour vision deficiencies will benefit from a feature enabling them to switch to high-contrast modes or alter the site’s colour scheme to meet their preferences.

3. Keyboard-Only Navigation
We are committed to enhancing our website’s keyboard-only navigation, ensuring that all aspects of our site—particularly forms, menus, and multimedia elements—are fully accessible without the need for a mouse. We will further refine our tab order and introduce visual focus indicators, making it easier for users to navigate.

4. Compatibility with Voice Assistants
As voice assistants like Google Assistant, Siri, and Amazon Alexa become more prevalent, we plan to make web-site.design more compatible with these tools. This would enable users to perform voice-activated searches, access services, and navigate the site hands-free.

5. Device and Browser Compatibility
We will continue to ensure our site functions smoothly across a variety of devices (desktops, tablets, and mobile phones) and browsers. Additionally, we plan to enhance accessibility for smart TVs and wearables, recognising that the future of browsing extends beyond traditional devices.

6. User Feedback Loop
We plan to integrate a system that allows users to submit accessibility feedback directly on the website. This will enable users to report any barriers they encounter and suggest improvements. With this feedback loop in place, we will continually adapt and update our accessibility features.

7. Multilingual Support
Recognising the diversity of our user base, we plan to expand our language offerings. By incorporating multilingual support, we can make the site more inclusive for non-English speakers and those using assistive technologies that rely on specific languages.

8. Real-Time Support for Users with Disabilities
We are exploring the integration of real-time support, such as live chat assistance, tailored specifically for users with disabilities. This could provide instant help with navigating the website or resolving accessibility issues.

9. AI-Driven Personalisation
Using AI tools, we aim to personalise user experiences by detecting accessibility needs and automatically adjusting the website interface accordingly. This could involve offering larger text sizes, simplified layouts, or highlighting important sections for easier navigation.
